Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using UltraFocus ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Service Description

UltraFocus provides a web-based platform for structured deep learning sessions using scientifically-proven ultralearning techniques. Our service includes timer-guided sessions, AI-powered Feynman technique assistance, progress tracking, and learning analytics.

The Service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.

User Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription Plans

We offer Free and Premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions provide additional AI tokens and advanced features as described on our Pricing page.

Billing

• Premium subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe
• Payment is due at the beginning of each billing cycle
• All fees are in USD and non-refundable except as required by law
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

Cancellation

You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time through your account settings. You will retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period, then automatically downgrade to the Free plan.

Refunds

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. Token purchases are final and non-refundable. Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis for technical issues preventing service access.

AI Tokens

• Free users receive 10 AI tokens monthly, Premium users receive 100 tokens monthly
• Monthly free tokens reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not carry over
• Purchased tokens never expire and carry over indefinitely
• Tokens are consumed when using AI-powered features (primarily Feynman analysis)
• Tokens are non-transferable and have no cash value

AI-Powered Features

Our Feynman technique assistant uses OpenAI's technology to analyze your learning explanations:

• AI feedback is educational guidance, not professional advice
• AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete
• You should verify important information from authoritative sources
• Your explanations are processed by OpenAI but not used to train their models

We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Abuse or exploit the AI features for prohibited purposes
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, text, graphics, and software, is owned by UltraFocus and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the learning content you create. By using our Service, you grant us a license to process and store your content to provide the Service.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for your needs.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ULTRAFOCUS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. You may request a data export before account deletion.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
